Introducing Our New Takeaway Service

If you have visited us recently, you may have seen that our terrace area has been blocked off for a couple of weeks now.

Part of Forage has undergone some exciting new transformations and it is time for us to share with you – drumroll please… Forage Away!

We Listened to Your Feedback

We know over recent months we have had to disappoint some of our customers by being fully booked in our restaurant.

Although we have had our takeaway menu, your feedback indicated that we needed to create a bigger offering. After holding various events, we knew that we needed a place to efficiently serve our customers. Our Easter experience was a magnificent event and we loved hearing all of your reviews. However, one recurring comment was “We love the Easter activities, but wish the queue was shorter for food and drink.”

Here at Forage, we pride ourselves on being a community driven business. This means we are always listening to your feedback and implementing improvements off the back of it. Which is why Forage Away felt like a natural progression in our journey together.

What to Expect

Operations Manager, Elinor and Bar Manager, Alex have worked together to create a rustic but modern atmosphere, complimenting the rest of the Forage building. With a menu that promises to have exclusive items, whilst still offering Forage favourites in takeaway format. Whether you choose to browse a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, and wraps from our fridge, or approach our counter for sweet treats, cakes and pastries. There will also be doughnuts and milkshakes exclusive to Forage Away and of course our popular Coaltown coffee, all in takeaway style.

So, if you’re grabbing lunch on the go or want to enjoy a taste of Forage out on the lawn at one of our picnic benches, Forage Away is here to do just that, continuing to hold the same ethos: we will not compromise on the quality of our produce.

We will continue to support our local Welsh suppliers. The beef, pork, lamb, and eggs supplied to Forage Away will come from our own farm, Penllyn Estate, where our animals are cared for to the highest standard and is regularly inspected by animal welfare officers.

As you know, practising sustainable methods is incredibly important to us here at Forage. Therefore, if you bring your own coffee cup, we will happily fill it for you and give you 15p off your coffee/tea.

The Grand Opening of Forage Away is this Saturday, April 30th 2022.

We will also be having a hog roast outside to celebrate, so come on down and see us!
